Kajagoogoo

Four friends, Nick Beggs, Steve Askew, Stuart Neale and Jez Strode had formed a group (the Art Nouveau) that did not work very well. In the summer of 1981 responded to an advertisement that a young singer, Chris Hamill (hence the anagram Limahl), was published in "Melody Maker". Why birth of a pop group we wanted to scream at this point an attractive look (and we had), to effect a name (and here Kajagoogoo) and the precise shot of luck, one year after Nick Rhodes of Duran Duran happened in the studios of EMI just in time to appreciate their demo tape, he offered them as a producer and led the band to publish Too Shy, who was quite a hit in the top of the UK charts-and broke even in the USA. Sure enough, according to the script 80 years, the success of the group did explode. While other members of the gang dispersed, then attempting a return to bankruptcy as Kaja in 1984 Limahl managed to collaborate with the great producer / songwriter Giorgio Moroder in the soundtrack of the movie The Never Ending Story, playing the namesake individual who had a worldwide success. Since then continues to deal with music, albeit with little commercial outcomes, working with other British artists.

The Buggles



is called The Buggles a pop-rock music group active in the second half of the seventies, formed in 1977 by Trevor Horn and Geoff Downes. The group released two albums, the second of which after Horn and Downes were respectively replaced Jon Anderson and Rick Wakeman in Yes The Buggles became famous with their first single "Video Killed the Radio Star, published in 1979. They seemed to be a meteor in the musical, one of the many bands that produce a hit song and then disappear, but both components were able to embark on successful careers. The video for the song, directed by Russell Mulcahy, was the first music video broadcast by MTV in North America. The sound of the group was deliberately characterized by the use of synthesizers, which is well suited to the technological issues of their songs.
