I Feel Like A Man But I Have A Woman's Body

Wang Chung

Wang Chung I come from a background quite solid, made of musical studies and experience already in the seventies punk scene at that time was one of the toughest gyms for young talents. The soul of this formation is historically formed by Nick Feldman and Jack Hues, both British, both born in the mid-fifties, both fans of the Beatles. The band was formed after several experiments completed in the punk, thanks to the contribution of the omnipresent ad in Melody Maker, right in 1980. The name "Wang Chung" is chosen from the vocabulary of Eastern religions, in the literal meaning of "bells that resonate. "The first contract does not produce anything memorable, so that the first conception of what will be their most famous song, Dance Hall Days, can not find manufacturers willing to finance. The boys, however, do not lose heart: abandoned Arista Records, signed to Geffen Records and the American launch their hits, which in 1982 collected a resounding success. Riding the style and sound of new wave, the group continues rapidly until at least 1986, when the album comes out Mosaic that overall the work will be most successful, thanks also to the individual Everybody Have Fun Tonight "and" Let's go, from the same year. After that, a decline in sales and popularity does not seem have dampened their desire to compose and play music in all corners of the planet!
